Remembrance Day

.
I'm actually not sure how I will observe Remembrance Day. I hope I think about it more then just a day of school off, because that's how I usually thought of it when I was younger. This time I'm going to think harder about the people who died for our country, because it takes selflessness to go to war. Somebody else's dad or mom or brother or sister etc. is putting their life at risk for us and our country.

This is Captain Nichola Kathleen Sarah Goddard. She died only at the age of 26. She was from Calgary Alberta, and died May 17th 2006. Her unit was 1st Royal Canadian Horse Artillery. The Captain was killed on a ground offensive, which is like a miltary action launced on land, by ground troops.
